Valentine's Day, sunscreen and Sojourner Truth...

* we began our Valentine's Day with heart shaped cinnamon rolls and pink milk

...and ended the evening with a dinner by candle light

* mommy mistook some sunscreen for lotion. I was wondering why I could get so little out of the pop open cap so I took it off and squirted a giant mound in my hand. I kept thinking, "wow, this is thick lotion" and wondered why it wasn't rubbing in. I blame all of this on the fact that it was morning and I don't function in the morning. Matt was at Corp so I had all morning duties (that he usually does because everyone in the family would rather leave grouchy mommy alone).
It did give us all a good laugh though!

* so proud of my precious girl. She was Sojourner Truth for Black History Month. She was chosen by her teacher to repeat her speech on the video announcements at school on Tuesday!! :)

Sweet Max lost his top tooth! And I didn't think he could get any cuter! Boy was I wrong!

We attended the Rock and Worship Road Show! It was AMAZING! Being in this giant arena with 18,000 people praising the Lord without reservation was beautiful!! The bands were all amazingly gifted and sold out for God! It was a tiny peek of what heaven will be like!

Abby's first official (the last one was a practice meet) gymnastics meet was great! She got to wear her competition leotard and she was so excited. She LOVES gymnastics and is so good! It is so fun to watch her get into competition mode. When she's practicing her routines (uneven bars, floor, vault and beam) she often falls or makes mistakes, but when it's competition time she usually nails it! We've talked about remembering that it is all fun and even if she falls in every routine she can smile and feel proud to have given it her best. She gets that, but that competitive personality is for sure in high gear. Hmmm...I wonder where she gets that from? :P

Poor Charlie has to wear the "cone of shame" for three weeks. He had an eye injury and had to have eye surgery. I'm sparing you from his gruesome looking left eye...poor puppy!!
